There is no Data Transfer charge for data transferred between Amazon EC2 instances in the same Availability Zone using private IP addresses (i.e., $0.00 per GB). Any other data transfer between two Amazon EC2 instances in the same region is charged as Regional Data Transfer on both sides of the transfer. There is no Data Transfer charge for data transferred between two Amazon Web Services within the same region (i.e. between Amazon EC2 US West Region and another AWS service in the US West Region). Data transferred between AWS services in different regions will be charged as Internet Data Transfer on both sides of the transfer. For example, the following data transfers will be charged: between Amazon EC2 US East and Amazon EC2 Europe or Amazon S3 Europe; between Amazon EC2 Europe and Amazon EC2, Amazon S3, Amazon SDB or Amazon SQS in US West (N. California). There are no Data Transfer charges for data transferred between Amazon EC2 US East and Amazon S3 US Standard buckets. All other charges for these services will still apply.
